Hot off the presses: The Federal Regulations have been extended for 2015:
IRA Distributions can be made without taxation before December 31st
As you consider Chico State for a year-end gift, you may be pleased to know that the funds in your IRA can be sent directly to The University Foundation, and you will have NO tax due on that gift - to benefit this radio station!
Please see these important requirements, then consult with your professional advisor or IRA Custodian for the simple steps to save taxes.
REQUIREMENTS
- Donors must be at least 70 ½;
- The maximum amount which may be transferred (tax-free) from an IRA is $100,000;
- Distributions must be made directly to the charitable organization through the IRA plan administrator;
- The distribution cannot be made to a donor advised fund, supporting foundation, private foundation, split interest trust, or charitable gift annuity.
BENEFITS
- IRA distributions are not treated as a taxable distributions;
- IRA distributions for a qualified charity will be part of your required minimum distribution;
