Songs From Studio C: Max's Midnight Kitchen

Max's Midnight Kitchen

This week we’re splitting the show into two parts to explore the music of folk duo, Max’s Midnight Kitchen. Multi-instrumentalists Matt Takiff and Daniel Nickerson first met at Lewis and Clark College while auditioning for the same tenor saxophone position. They both got it. Shortly afterwards they discovered a mutual appreciation for traditional folk music, and Max’s Midnight Kitchen was born. In part two of this week’s show we’ll be meeting the other songwriter for the band, banjoist Daniel Nickerson. Daniel grew up here in the North State and began traveling to perform at the young age of 16.
