'Bad Breath Bandit' Strikes Again

A man robbed the U.S. bank in Chester on Monday, and it may very well be the same person the FBI is calling the Bad Breath Bandit.

According to the Plumas County News, the bank robber was last seen running through the Truman-Collins Sports Complex in Chester after the robbery. Like the Bad Breath Bandit, he was wearing a disposable medical breathing mask.

The Bad Breath Bandit is white, in his 30s, about 6 feet tall and between 210 and 250 pounds. In addition to his signature mask, he was also wearing a baseball cap, a zip-up jacket and sunglasses. He was carrying a black pistol.

If it is the same person — and the FBI and Plumas County Sherriff’s Office believe it is — he also robbed a Tri Counties bank in Nevada City in June, an Umpqua bank in Los Molinos in September and a Tri Counties bank in Durham in November. He also walked into the Bank of the West in Grass Valley in June but left without incident.

The Bad Breath Bandit should be considered armed and dangerous.  Anybody with information about this case should call (661) 323-9665 or 1-800-CALL-FBI.
