New Shows This February
We’re excited to formally announce several programming changes taking effect this week and later this month.
First, several of our local shows are growing up:
- On February 4, Jennifer Jewell, previously the host of In a North State Garden, will debut a new half-hour-long show, Cultivating Place: Conversations on Natural History and the Human Impulse to Garden. This program, co-produced and engineered by Matt Shilts, will air every Thursday at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
- Dave Schlom’s The Blue Dot Report will become simply Blue Dot and also extend to a half hour Thursdays at 10:30 a.m., following Cultivating Place. Blue Dot, co-produced, co-hosted, and engineered by Matt Shilts, will also be rebroadcast at 6:30 p.m. on Fridays.
- Starting February 5, Nancy’s Bookshelf, hosted by Nancy Wiegman and engineered by Nolan Ford, becomes an hour-long on Fridays at 10 a.m., followed by everyone’s favorite, Science Friday.
We can’t wait to bring you this robust lineup of local programming!
Stay tuned for even more changes starting the week of February 29, including the additions of:
- TED Radio Hour Mondays at 10 a.m.
- Latino USA Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
- RevealWednesdays at 10 a.m.
- The Takeaway Monday through Thursday at 11 a.m.
- The World Monday through Thursday at noon
We will be updating our online schedule to reflect these changes as they happen, and we will roll out a listener survey in May for feedback.
